Right now I'm totally digging a beautiful wall sconce. For some, you maybe really unsure if it's a right move for your home.
They are great for on either side of the bed (like the picture below) or even symmetrically above the sofa.

This one below has a similar shape from ikea for less the $15 each.
Originally it came with an ugly floral white shade, we went back to the shade area in the lighting department and put this black one on. They also have white.
These are also apartment and rental friendly because they have drop cords that plug in!
To give it the same look as the above brass sconce, Rustoleum at home depot has an incredible gold spray. Spray it gold! Also Rub & Buff works wonders.
Also another chic little number by ikea! These eclectic baskets in a handful of sizes. I bought some for my shelves for about $15. Ah! so cute. :)
