OOTD | Gong Xi Fat Cai!

ZARA pinstripe blazer, S'nob white blouse, ZARA plaid & lace short, Bershka kneehigh boots
Ok this is the best my Chinese could get. Happy Chinese new year! Now it's probably gonna be a surprise (sarcasm), but although I'm Indonesian I do have Chinese blood. My ancestors way back probably were Chinese who actually spoke Chinese. So why do I still celebrate Chinese New year?
Because it's fun! Who wouldn't want an excuse to eat yummy food and celebrate something? My favorite thing to do is probably reading Chinese horoscopes about what's in store for me this year.. It's weird because I'm not a vast believer for zodiac things but a lot actually really match the person (chinese zodiac) and it's just fun. This year is the year of the horse and as a monkey I should be having a stable year.. Hope it will stay that way. You can look yours up here.
What's your Chinese zodiac sign?

Now onto my outfit, I didn't really have time to really dress up for the occasion because I had to run some errands first and pack for my trip to Stockholm! I'm wearing my new Zara blazer and short. I wanted to buy this blazer fully priced but I'm glad that I waited and bought this for 30euros. The short was such a bargain, 10 euros, and I was tempted to buy more prints but I held back! At first I didn't know if I liked the combination of shorts and kneehigh boots but I kinda like it now, it certainly made me feel a lot warmer.

I'm writing this while I'm supposed to be finishing packing and it's already 3:30AM.. But I wanted to say goodbye first before I'm heading up north. I'd probably have WiFi there but I won't be bringing my laptop. You can follow me on Instagram though if you want to know where I'm at!

Mua Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter ♥

Mua Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter ♥

This Review is on an affordable stunning great quality highlighter by Mua Makeup Academy, they sell Mua in Superdrug in the Uk or Online on their own website and have some of the most amazing cheap bargain great quality products,i myself own lots of Mua but this is by ar one of my all time fave products,
I have just done a review on Topshop Highlighters but if your on a bit of a budget like most people then i would like to show you a cheaper option but just as good quality.
This was the first highlighter i bought and it did wonder to the look of my skin,i got complemented on my skin whenever i wore this and i do actually wear this as my day to day highlighter as it's so so cheap at £3.00 it is very very similar to that of the Topshop Crescent Moon one i did a review on but you actually do get more product for your money which is amazing.
Again i will let the photos do the talking as you can see by the photo of myself,i have used it on my cheek bones, bridge of nose, forehead, cupids bow and slight dusting to the chip,it gives you a healthy looking glow all year round.
I will also leave the link to Mua website and Superdrug for you to check out this amazing brand.
Thanks for reading and happy shopping as a must for any makeup bag,i have even stocked up on them ♥

While you are here please subscribe to my youtube, facebook, twitter etc as all links are under the contact me Tab at the top of the page thanks guys xx

PERSONAL | #STOCKHOLM

photos found on Pinterest & Tumblr

It is settled! My friend and I booked our flights and will be booking our stay tomorrow. We're super excited to see Stockholm! I've never been there before so it's going to be a whole new experience. I hope I can take a lot of pretty photo's like these ones I found on Pinterest and Tumblr. I've heard a lot of good things of Stockholm, the land of Acne, H&M, IKEA and many more. Maybe not the best place to go to if you seek the sun, because there it's already snowing.. So must pack a lot of warm clothes.

Although I'm really tempted to shop there, I don't have the budget to do so at the moment (student life sucks). But I think there's a lot more to it than shopping! I can't wait to go there and see beautiful places. Tomorrow I'll be planning out our trip more precisely.. I can't wait to see the art at the metro stations, I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, and can't wait to breath in the beautiful landscapes of Stockholm's archipelago.

Have you ever been in Stockholm? Any tips and advice for my trip?

Topshop Highlighters Makeup Review

Topshop Highlighters Makeup Review

Hi Guys this is just a quick one but a good one as i would like to just start by saying you need these highlighters in your life,if your anything like me and love to add a shimmer to your cheeks, brow bone, forehead, chin, bridge of nose area then look no further as these are the most pigmented ones i have found to date and ok not cheapy cheap but nor highend and they are from Topshop and actually Topshop sell a great range of makeup at the moment.
These are £10 but will last you a lifetime...well ok maybe i did make that bit up lol but they will last you sooo long so really worth every penny, and you can get 2 shades crescent moon and sunbeam.
My fave is the crecent moon as it's a lighter champagne colour for paler skin tones but once you are a little tantastic in the summer and want a more bronzed glow then sunbeam is great for that look as it's more a yellow golden tone.
I will let the photos do the talking as Topshop have lovely packaging and you just need these in your life i promise you will love them they also do in a cream form too which is also gorgeous so i will put a link to Topshop makeup for you to have a browse. You might have to pop into your local Topshop to see if they have the powders as i don't see them on the website but i know they do them in my store, thanks for reading and happy glowing, please also check out and subscribe to my Youtube Facebook and Join me here on my Blog, twitter and just anywhere you can find me,just go to contact at the top of my page for the links thanks so much vinny aka Littlemissstyleguru xx

ps..ever since i started using highlighter i always get comlemented on my skin saying it looks glowy and my skin looks lovely xx

OOTD | Looking for the silver lining

H&M silver sweater (old), Unkown store in Amsterdam suede skirt, Costes necklaces

As promised, my outfit for the Winde Rienstra show at Amsterdam Fashion Week. I actually prepared something else but the weather was really horrible that day and I still had to go by public transport so I thought I should wear something a bit warmer. This silver sweater was perfect for it, the color sure made it a tad bit more festive. I actually threw this away with some other old clothes a few months ago (don't know why though) but I found it again in the sack where we put our old clothes in ready for the salvation army.

Anyway, my exam yesterday was a disaster. First I couldn't do the test because there are a few adjustments in the rules for participating tests this year and of course I didn't know of it.. When they told me it was at my own risk (they are going to grade it but may not count) I couldn't concentrate much, then the batteries of my calculator were almost empty so I had to rush before it wore out. And on top of it all, the questions sucked and I am certain that I didn't nail it. So basically I'm screwed because it means that I have to do this course all over again next year and I won't be able to get my Bachelor degree this year. On the bright side, I still don't know what to do with my study career, which master I want to take and even if I want to do one. So I probably will be busy figuring that out anyway.

EVENT | Stars in the firmament collection by Winde Rienstra

 photo windeshow.gif

When do you know to get a new camera? When you're about a meter away from models with beautiful garments on but still can't catch the beauty of the fabric in motion on camera.

So yesterday I went to my very first show at the Amsterdam Fashion Week 2014. I received a ticket from VitaCoco by joining a challenge and I got to see the Winde Rienstra show front row! I've already seen her work earlier on at the Dutch Design Week 2013. So I knew that it would be an awesome show. As I've just said before, I was so bumped out that I didn't really get a lot of good shots of the show, but I didn't want to mess with my camera settings while I could experience the garments in real life. Sometimes you just have to stop worry about taking pictures and enjoy the show! Well on to the collection..

Winde's collection is called "Stjerren oant it firmamint" which is Fryslan (different language somewhere in the Netherlands) for Stars in the firmament, a way to let her work shine as a flickering light in the dark. The collection consists of really soft fabric mixed with some hard materials. I like the contrast of the two materials and how she put it in harmony. This makes the models look like futuristic goddesses and warriors. And those shoes! Props for the models to be able to walk in them. The shoes are made of cork as far as I can see and its worn by every model.

My favorite look for this collection has to be the first one that started the show, the third picture. I love how she knitted this. And the construction and detailing is really remarkable. Another piece I really adore is the cropped knitted top with shorts. It's just so cute and soft, it reminds me of the cowl Katniss Everdeen wore in Hunger Games (Catching fire) mixed in with some cotton balls. Remind me to learn how to knit..

OOTD | Heading to Amsterdam Fashion Week

Issue 3.1 ombre faux leather jacket, H&M cropped jumper, H&M high waist jeans, Costes necklace

As some of you already know, I get to go to the Winde Rienstra show at Amsterdam Fashion Week by Vitacoco today. And although the timing and weather is bad right now (with my exams and all), I still am excited to go! Tomorrow I'll be posting about my first experience at AFW! Have to go now!

I can't stop wearing my Nikes because they go with everything and are so comfortable. I have to leave it for tonight though and try for something more 'formal'. Anyway, I actually prepared my outfit for tonight already and took a few pictures of it.. but now I'm wearing something different because the weather got bad and it wouldn't be responsible to wear it. Ah well the show must go on!

OOTD | Tie it up!

H&M plaid blouse as skirt DIY, Mango white shirt, H&M jacket, H&M leather ankle boots, Fjalraven backpack,
Lana's sieraden necklace
Just my luck.. I always get tons of ideas to post when I'm supposed to study and write reports. Yesterday night I was browsing through my closet to find something to wear for my first show at Amsterdam Fashion Week! Which will be this sunday, I'm so excited but I really didn't know what to wear. So as I'm digging up some old pieces and matched it up, I found some new exciting outfits. Still not certain what to wear for AFW but at least I got some outfits ready for the next few days..

I've seen a lot of plaid skirts and I really want to buy the perfect one as well but I don't have the time to search or the money (student life) for one. So I used this H&M blouse I had laying around and tie it up like a skirt. I like the outcome and it's super easy! You can do this with any blouse, if you don't mind wrinkling it a bit and there's no stitching needed. Ideal! Now I have my plaid skirt without spending any more money.

You guys interested in a DIY?

And how about this cool necklace I got from sweet Lana at Lana's sieraden. The knotted detailing is really cute and it looks great with any top under. I have some awesome news for you guys, you can win this necklace! The giveaway would only for you Dutchies unfortunately but no worries, I will have an international one in the future!

Stay tuned for the giveaway! I will post all the details tonight!

EVENT | Experiencing Adam

Adam levine photo adam.gif

As I've told in the previous post, I went to a Maroon 5 concert and it was fun! My friend and I took our time which eventually led us miss our train and ended up later than we anticipated. But we didn't really mind and just went with the flow.. The surprising part is even though we were quite late, we still got ourselves a nice place to stand! There were a lot of tall people as expected but we still got a pretty clear view. Everything went on smoothly, PJ Morton and Robin Thicke were great and everyone was on time! That's a first.. Back to mister Levine. Who wouldn't want a piece of that? Tell me where can I sign up for one of those. He sang great and I just realised how 'high' his voice really is, even when talking (I didn't realise it on The Voice). I talk as if Maroon 5 consists of only Adam Levine, but the other bandmates were awesome as well. The only negative part of experiencing Adam is that he refused to take off his shirt..

Click below to see some more concert photos (hottie alert)

OOTD | Concert proof outfit

Bershka faux fur vest, Jane Blush blue chiffon shirt, H&M high waist jeans, Nike air max thea
Today I wanted to wear something I can stay warm but still can take it off, when it get too hot. Because I'm going to the Maroon 5 concert tonight, not sure if I'm really excited for it. They were supposed to perform somewhere in july last year and they postponed it till now. They will be performing some old songs and Robin Thicke, PJ Morton will be there as well. Not a real fan of Robin but I like PJ Morton. Anyway, I wanted something comfortable to wear but still a little bit of glam hence the faux fur. The only problem I would have is without heels I won't be able to see much in the crowd.. I hope there won't be a lot of tall people (probably won't happen). Now I haven't tried this combo of bright cobalt blue with the fur before, but I kinda like it. I guess you really could combine faux fur vest with anything! Well I need to get pumped up by listening to some Maroon 5 songs!

Do you think my outfit would be concert proof?

Comparison Swatches Naked 1 2 & 3 Urban Decay Review

Comparison Swatches Naked 1 2 & 3
Urban Decay

Hi everyone i thought i would do a blog and show the differences between all three naked palettes and a quick review on them.
If you follow me and are subscribed to my Youtube Channel Littlemissstyleguu then you will all know by now that my Fave eyeshaddows are by Urban Decay i love them they are so soft and creamy and very pigmented, and if your not subscribed to my Youtube then please click the link below to subscribe for reviews, hauls, makeup, beauty, fashion and baby!!!

The first palette is Urban Decay Naked or Naked 1 as most people call it as it's the original naked palette.
This is housed in a lovely soft velvet case which flaps over and contains mirror under flap and comes with UD soft double ended blending brush and eye primer potion which is amazing to give the shaddows more depth not they they need it and also your shaddow will last all day long.
There are 12 stunning colours that when mixed and match can be worn day or night.
The colours range from light soft shader to darker golds then browns to black and gun metal.
This was my first UD palette and i love love love it,please see photos and swatches below ♥

The next palette is the Urban decay naked 2.
This comes in a metal tin which shuts so will not flap open so i do like the tin rather than the flap over case.
This also comes with mirror inside lid of tin and again another double sided brush but this time this comes with a small lip junkie lip gloss which is nice to try.
At first i was not sure if i was going to buy this palette as at a quick glance i thought they looked very similar.....
but i was very wrong as they are actually not so similar and have again 12 colours but this palette has a few more Matte.so again would make a good day to night palette as the colours are stunning there are matte's sparkles and shimmers so you can create a lovely neutral eye or deep smokey sexy look....so yes yes i gave in and bought this palette and now use both and sometimes even mix and match out of both palettes, see the photos below for swatches ♥

So next is my most recent purchase which is the new Urban Decay Naked 3 yay as once again they have done it and this doesn't dissapoint it's gorgeous so stunning infact that i might go as far as to say this is my fave of all three but then it's a very close contender to the original Naked for me.
This paletteis also a tin like the no2 so shuts safe but it looks very pretty with a rose gold rippled effect to the tin which leads me onto the colours as they are a very similar set of colours to the tin going down that rose gold route as some really pretty soft pinks and brown mauve type colours,i really love a certain colour in this palette called nooner it's a mauve/brown and the name is ace i love it,also instead of the normal black at the end UD have put a glitter black for a change,it's black with tiny tiny red glitter flecks {stunning}again it contains a double ended brush but also comes with 4 pod samples of eye primer which i wasn't sure of to begin with as you seemed to get more with no1 and no2 but actually i love the 4 pods of eye primer potion as they are all different and i had only ever tried the normal original eye primer but this had original sin eden and anti ageing and i can give my verdict that i really love sin eye primer you can certainly wear this alone as an eyeshaddow it's gorgeous so i'm glad i got chance to try it now.
I am so glad i got this palette as it is very different from 1 and 2 and again if you own all 3 or even own another Naked then you can mix and match between colours.
This would be my wedding paalette when i get married as the gentle soft pinks are very romantic. Here are the photos and swatches ♥

So in conclusion check out the photos below and tell me which one is ur fave,do you own any,do you own all three or do you plan to purchase any in the future, thanks for reading and i will leave link below where you can also purchase Urban Decay.
If you have any question's please ask as if you go to contact at the top of my blog you will find me all over the place so join me everywhere thanks love always Vinny xx♥xx
