I have locked myself up in my room the past few days to minimalize distractions from my study.. Unfortunately I still need my laptop and internet, so avoiding it is almost impossible. What definitely keeps my occupied is this new NBC series "The Blacklist". It has just started with it's first season but it's very promising. It almost gave me the same feeling I got from watching one of my favorite tv series 'Suits'. 

Anyway, the serie is about a criminal Raymond Reddington, who is on the top 10 of the most wanted list, who turns himself in and told the FBI that he has similar interest in getting rid of other criminals and terrorists who are on 'the Blacklist' according to Reddington. But for that cooperation he only wants to speak to a rookie agent Elizabeth Keene. No one knows why he chose her and what's on his agenda.

It's probably not a really good synopsis but if you're interested, you should definitely check it out! 

The point of it all, is that Reddington likes to wear fedora hats. And since I'm so uninspired in the fashion department lately and mostly am obsessed with the Blacklist, that I wore my 'sort of fedora' hat.

EVENT | Dutch Design Week Eindhoven 2013

The last few weeks, I've been on some 'cultural' outings. First there was a Pixar animation expo in Amsterdam and just recently I visited the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. You can walk through the centra and visit several expositions and view all kinds of Dutch design. I liked the graphics and unique fabrics/textiles you can view at Vlisco unfolded the most. It's really nice to see how they go from a sketch to a patterned rug. There were a lot more things to see and photograph but we decided that we had enough after some dinner. If you have the time, you should definitely visit or maybe next year!

this season Tally Weijl is offering a look-a-like of the famous olive Zara parka with the leopard lining inside

Letzte Saison wurde ja unter anderem der olivgrüne Zara Parka mit dem abnehmbaren Leopardeninnenfutter (ich liebe mein Exemplar, auch wenn es getragen ein gefühltes Extrakilo wiegt) sehr gehypt. Ich sehe gerade jetzt wieder vermehrte Suchanfragen mit den Begriffen "Zara Trafaluc Leo Parka" auf meinem Blog landen. Hatte ja bei meinen Pretty Little Secrets Post (hier) schon mal das schöne, kuschelige Innenfutter gezeigt, das Ihr oben im Bild auch noch mal sehen könnt ( ˘ ³˘) ♥.

Die gute Nachricht für alle, die diesen Style nicht mehr ergattern konnten ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ):
Es gibt jetzt ein nahezu identisches Look-a-like (und weniger schwer im Gesamtgewicht, d.h. aber auch nicht ganz so dick gefüttert) bei Tally Weijl zu haben. Das Innenfutter ist aber meines Wissens nach aber nicht abnehmbar. Also schaut doch einfach mal bei Tally Weijl vorbei, wenn Ihr nach einem solchen Modell sucht (*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ.

Hi there guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately.. mainly because my project was taking so much of my time and I had to gain skills in autoCAD, Sketchup and such which forces me to make long hours. If you follow me on instagram, you'd know what's up.

Anyway, the following two weeks are my exams so I need to hit the library to study.. I can't do it without my favorite backpack at the moment. It has traveled with me quite a lot and I'm wearing it today as well. I paired it with a gilet I got on sale at H&M and a dotted skirt from a local Indonesian store.

When you do etching art you need a hand cream afterwards to care your skin on your hands because the colors and solvent are not that skin friendly - so always get your hands on a nice hydrating hand cream afterwards:

Heute gibt es mal wieder etwas aus der Abteilung Beauty und Kunst ヾ（*⌒ヮ⌒*）ゞ. Ich habe unter anderem auch das Vergnügen gehabt mich intensiv in der Kunst des Kaltnadelradierens auszuprobieren. Da man bei dieser Art der Kunst viel mit den Händen und mit Farben und Lösungsmitteln arbeitet (Handschuhe benutzt man da in der Regel nicht, d.h. alles kommt in direkten Kontakt mit der Haut) ist es wichtig die Hände danach ausgiebig mit Wasser und Seife zu waschen, denn die Fabe selbst bekommt man nur mit Lösungsmittel wieder ab. Damit die Haut danach nicht so trocken und strapaziert ist, ist es wichtig diese nach der ganzen Prozedur ausgiebig einzucremen (┌・。・)┌. Meine Liebslingshandcreme ist die Mini Bunny Sweet Pink Hand Cream von Tony Moly. Die Marke Tony Moly ist übrigens eine Koreanische Marke (wofür auch dieses besonders süße Verpackungsdesign spricht). Das Sweet Pink spricht aber nur für die Hauptfarbe der Verpackung - das eigentliche Produkt ist ganz gewöhnlich weiß.

Auf der Suche nach neuen Inspirationen fand ich auch eine meiner alten Lieblings-Kaltnadelradierungen wieder: Zwei süße Vögelchen auf einem blumigen Zweig. Eigentlich auch ein schönes Frühlingsbild. 

Product haul | Got 99 problems but a shoe ain't one

The last two months has been crazy for my shoe 'collection' and my wallet. And I can add these Bershka pointy wedges to it. I liked the feminim style of these shoes since I've only been buying sneakers lately. And these were 46 euros, so why not eh?

I've been thinking of doing more of these sort of hauls posts, where you just collect similar items you've bought over the last months and called it "99 problems but a .. ain't one". Maybe I can shop less, because of it.. What do you think?

What's the best feeling in the world? You probably have some jeans or pants laying around in your closet which are a size too small, but you still have that hope that one day you'll fit them (again). And when you do, you'll feel invincible and just plain ass awesome. I had the same feeling with these Primark highwaisted jeans. I accidentally bought a size too small and since I don't really live near a Primark and I "try" not to go that often, I just threw it in the far back of my closet.
Today, I tried them on again and suddenly it fitted! It wasn't intentional though, it's probably because I get screwed by public transportation everyday which forces me to bike about 8km to my uni back and forth. At least it did something good.

Sugarplum Fairy

My *kawaii-navigation-sense* recently discoverd this at our local supermarket:

Für den kleinen Durst zwischendurch gibt es nun schon seit geraumer Zeit für alle zauberhaften Mädchen den Capri Sonne Elfentrank. Ich nehme mir gerne so ein handliches, kleines Päckchen Capri Sonne für Unterwegs mit (diese kleinen 0,5 l PET-Flaschen sind mir auf Dauer dann doch etwas zu schwer) (´--｀๑). Erdbeer, Apfel und Banane ist hier die Geschmacksrichtung (ja, alle drei zusammen ^^) und schmeckt eigentlich genauso gut wie sonst auch. Allerdings (und wer hätte das gedacht) ist hier die Verpackung mal wieder ein schöner Augenschmaus - die Farben erinnern mich nämlich an den Kristallwald von Pegasus aus der Dead Moon Zirkus Staffel von Sailor Moon (*_*)...

A 20 years old vintage fairy comic episode from my collection 

- beautiful Orchifee fulfils a girl's wish to be a real fairy. 

Feen gehören schon immer zu meinen Lieblingsfabelwesen. Der Comic Ausschnitt oben stammt nämlich aus einem 20 Jahre alten Comic Heft, dass ich als Kind erhalten habe und ich habe es bis heute schön ordentlich und sicher in einer Klarsichtfolie (Hallo an alle Comicbuchverkäufer x3 *wink*) aufbewahrt (๑¯◡¯๑).

Sad news about Sugarplum Fairy (the swedish rockband)                                               
Es ist schon einige Jahre her als ich zuletzt etwas von der Band gehört habe, aber bei der Wahl meines Posttitels Sugarplum Fairy erinnerte ich mich an die gleichnamige Schweden-Rockband "Sugarplum Fairy"
, die sich hier in Europa und auch in Japan großer Beliebtheit erfreute - könnt Ihr Euch noch an diese Band erinnern? Mit "Sweet Jackie" hatten sie 2004 ihren ersten Hit.Was mich nach meiner kurzen Rechersche aber etwas traurig gestimmt hat, ist dass das Schicksal es nicht besonders gut mit der Band gemeint hat (•-__-;•)  letzten Monat (im September) ist Kristian Gidlund †, Schlagzeuger der Band, nur wenige Tage vor seinem 30.Geburtstag an Magenkrebs gestorben...

Finally Friday

Mina never fails to impress me. You know my wardrobe and how monochrome it can be, but when I spotted this dress it was love at first sight. I got my hands on it when it was in the sale, but it appears to have sold out now – sad times. However, they have just launched their beautiful autumn / winter collection which is to die for (which also means a few more summery items are in the sale now too!).

It's finally Friday - I've not been feeling too great this week so it couldn't have come soon enough. This weekend I have the lovely Zoe staying with me and I cannot wait to see her face! We’ll be doing a bit of shopping, a bit of boogying and no doubt a bit of youtubin’...

We are back

Dear All...It´s been a while and if you stopped reading, I don´t blame you. Thanks for the sweet messages from all over the world, saying you missed my posts and worrying if I was all right.

I am getting back to my old self, i think I just came into the most busiest time of my life not knowing how to juggle everything. Pregancy is going well, got a huge tummy already, people think I get into labour any minute but I still have 10 weeks ahead.

Matt is growing up so fast...amazing that babytime is over. He understands everything in Spanish and Dutch, such a clever boy. I hired a nanny, she will be helping me everyday in the mornings with matt and also helps me in the office, untill the new baby is born.

ootd | This is not a carpet around my neck

River Island (old) vest, H&M Leather jacket, H&M shorts, Pieces shirt,  H&M ankle boots

Another outfit of the day. I have this vest more than a few years but was never able to wear it without people thinking that I'm wearing a carpet around my neck.. But this fall I couldn't care any less. The difficult part of wearing this (or these sorts of garments) is you never really know how to wear it with a jacket on.. The downside of throwing a jacket on top of it, makes you look bulky and sometimes even uncomfortable. So I like to wear the vest over my jacket. Same goes for fur vests or anything bulky. How would you wear it?
