So the lighting in these are horrible but you get the idea. I love, LOVE the stripe. I applied it to the original lamp shade. While I was at joanns I got some linen to recover the whole lamp shade and then I wanted to put the ribbon on top of it because this linen is very-very grey. Since I had no energy last night to finish out the lamp with the linen I had, I got I thought it wouldn't hurt to try the ribbon on the original fabric first, live with it a bit and see if it really bothers me.

I got this idea from a lamp in great jones home. It had a big stripe on it in silk ribbon. It just was so simple yet huge!
