Doormat

Do you know this? I try to have to have the house tidy and organized, but it seems when you least expect unexpected visitors the house is always a mess. I need a doormat like this, at least you can joke about it! 

Instead I have this doormat, TRAMPA from Ikea.

Not your average shelf

How nice are these fluor shelves? I see fluor everywhere especially in clothes and jewelry, and it´s refreshing see it used in the home as well. This could easily be a diy using an ikea shelf and spraypaint.

I really liked this shelf with the gold chain on both of the sides

If you don´t have much space in your house, use he space that you have untill the limit. This shelf is so handy above the door.

what I loved this week - inexpensive brass details

I thought this is a great DIY idea, I am always in for a good Ikea hack, but this got me excited. These lack tables are cheap, I never wanted one, because they looked too plain, but Jenny from Little Green Notebook added these inexpensive brass corners, and voila, they look amazing! This is a great deal for starters  who just moved in to a new house, spend all their money on a bathroom, sofa and painting the house and then don´t have money left for a coffee table. Now there isn´t any excuse anymore!

Bri from you me and a wiener added these brass decorative brackets to her Ikea Lack shelves, and it has the wow factor as the coffee tables.

Thanks girls for this great inspiration, I´ll be on the hunt for shiny brass brackets!

Ikea hack - Love or not

I was very curious what they have used to make this wall for the bathroom, seems they  have used Ikea VASES. The vases are used as glassblocks in the design of a distinctive loft located on the first floor of a historic warehouse and monument on the Brouwersgracht in the center of Amsterdam. The apartment is designed by Marloes van Heteren of SOLUZ and Remco Wilcke of CUBE architecten.
                           

                            

                           

                         
Well do you like it or not? I like the effect that the light has shining through the glass vases wall, but I might be scared the wall will fall, not kidsproof at all, but hey if the owner is an architect, he knows what he is doing...

Look what blogging made me do with my office

I am happy the pillows and the poster complement each other. I just got them all in and

placed the poster in a Ikea Ribba frame. My office is coming together and I am more happy working here.

Hicks pillows are from Elegant touch, the marrocan tile pillow bought from prego sem estopa in Lisbon and the fishbone pillows are Stockholm from Ikea.
