Remember this plan?
We'll it's coming to life! This is a sneak peak into Karens multi functional guest bedroom. The walls have been painted with wide stripes in a beige and creme paint. Karen found this old sewing desk which you can also see in the previous plans. Look closely, see anything in particular you like, other then the sunburst?
Yep, Dorothy Draper lines! What a total score. When looking do re-do your home with up cycled pieces it's very important to find pieces with great lines. It doesn't matter what your taste is. If you love super modern. Searching for vintage midcentury will give you those strait flat edges needed for transforming your space in to the dream and feel of where you want it to be.
We have created a little nook for the desk. Wedging it between two very tall storage pieces, that are creating proper spacing. To get away with this properly, it's key two have furniture next to it that creates a dramatic opening, other wise if you put two dresser's for example on either side; the levels aren't dramatic enough to define as it's own space
Let me remind you what that little desk used to look like. I think she payed about $30 for it.
We have made some changes with the plan, one of which being the choice of our day bed, and possibly a couple other accessories.
Hoping that it comes together properly this day bed will be the baddest DIY. Baddest as in, freaking incredible.
